About us

Urban Imports originally started off as an import to order service in 2017. This consisted of helping our customers import their desired vehicles from Japan. Typically many customers were sick of buying from the local market where the cars were too expensive or too rare to be purchased locally. This was where Urban Imports helped outsource rare and specialised vehicles for our customers as well as normal cars tailored towards them.

Three years later, the demand grew and in January 2020 we finally opened as a local car dealership specializing in JDM & performance vehicles. Over the course of 3 years we have managed to sell over 300 vehicles as a car dealership. However in January 2023, we finally decided to change our business model from a local dealership to creating an online bidding system directly linked to the Japanese auction houses. This system allows the client to bid on vehicles in real time, along with their desired vehicle specifications.Not only do we help with importing, our service also extends to helping our clients with vehicle advertising, finance, vehicle transportation and guiding them throughout the whole car importation process. Urban Imports will guide you every step of the way from the moment you inquire and to the day you drive it on the road.

We have been in the car importing business for over 6 years, having both operated as a dealership and import to order business model. We are a team full of enthusiasts that are not only passionate about cars but also extremely knowledgeable on how the industry works.
